Liberalizing cities | From the bottom up

“Market Urbanism” refers to the synthesis of classical liberal economics and ethics (market), with an appreciation of the urban way of life and its benefits to society (urbanism). We advocate for the emergence of bottom up solutions to urban issues, as opposed to ones imposed from the top down.

    As soon as someone Pretends to know what is the best use for each particular parcel or what the aesthetic ideal is, the contradictions do tend to pile up pretty quickly.

  2. This is a bit strange coming from Cuomo, who has been largely anti-establishment so far. Therefore, it reeks of back-room deals and favors being called in. I have to admit that if he has to throw them something to get them off his back, it could be a lot worse.
